On the eve of a successful airshow in 2007 and a 2008 special with a phenomenal outcome, the question rightfully turned up, Will the Kecskemet Air Base host another event in 2009? According to the AIRSHOW newsletter of October 3, 2008, we can go ahead and mark our calendars: Yes, if August 2009, then airshow in Kecskemet, Hungary.

In honor of NATO’s 60th anniversary, and in celebration of Hungary’s 10th year of NATO membership, the Hungarian Ministry of Defense and the Hungarian Armed Forces plan to once again open the gates of MH 59. Szentgyorgyi Dezso Air Base in Kecskemet, for the Hungarian International Air Show & Military Display that attracts an ever growing crowd to the capital of Bacs-Kiskun county. This year’s Hungarian International Air Show & Military Exposition at Kecskemet Air Base was an exemplary one of those two-day events, which attract aerobatics enthusiasts and military fans from all over the world to Kodaly’s city every other year.
